Indigenous art has always been part of my life. My father, Thomas L. Beckett, founder of Beckett Gallery, began representing Indigenous artists in the mid 1960’s and educated our family on the importance of recognizing and respecting Indigenous people, history and culture.

Over the years, I have had the pleasure of visiting the studios of Arthur Shilling, Joseph Jacobs and many other extraordinary Indigenous artists, developing life-long friendships and gaining a deep appreciation.

This leads me to today and this collection that I’ve aptly titled … R E S P E C T.
