Tom Beckett was born into the art world. His father Thomas L. Beckett owned Beckett Gallery on Hamilton’s James Street South and his grandfather, Hubert Beckett, was a famed Hamilton photographer. Tom’s interest in art led him to study art history at Christie’s in London, England in 1987/88 and own galleries in Toronto, Vancouver and Oakville while continually providing personal services for collectors and art enthusiasts around the world.

With a keen eye for curating art from established and emerging artists, Tom proudly represents a select group of Canadian, Indigenous and international artists. With decades of experience, he is also an expert art appraiser and is highly sought after to install art and redesign art collections in homes and businesses.

As an art consultant and appraiser, Tom has extensive experience working with art collectors, curators and directors of public art galleries and museums in Canada and USA, including The Art Gallery of Ontario, The Consulate General of Canada in New York City and The September 11th Memorial and Museum, NYC.

The long-standing Beckett reputation attracts buyers and sellers of fine art pieces and collections. Through the years, Tom has been honoured to handle art transactions of prestigious estate art, including original pieces by: Maud Lewis, Tom Thomson, N.C. Wyeth, Robert Bateman, Arthur Shilling and Frank Panabaker, to name a few.
