Steve's Story:

I got into collecting licence plates back in 1974 on a 3 week vacation the family took with our camper trailer. We did all the maritime provinces, camping for usually one night then moving on. Somewhere along the way I kept noticing abandoned cars left in farmers' fields, which back then they all still had their plates attached. My dad, realizing I was getting pretty bored, hooked me up with some old pliers and wrenches, and when we got close to where we were going to set up camp, I'd watch for junkyards. I must have come home with close to 100 plates!
