A beautiful bowl by Elda Muriel 'Bun' Smith (1919-1976) from the Six Nations Reserve. She was the first potter, back in the early 1960's to revive traditional Kanienkehaka (Mohawk) / Haudenosaunee motifs onto contemporary forms after studying with Tessa Kidick who came out to the Rez to help train potters. Elda is the true matriarch of all the later Six Nations Potters.
