Tracing the Footprint of Man over Time Time over Man
Born
of periphery vision, Bentley's work deals with sensibility, not concept
the poetry of chance. Random brushings with a world where he sees all
things as equal, his photographs elevate the mundane into the
monumental. These rare handmade prints, shot in large format, represent
ten years of exhaustive research and development perfecting colour
carbon transfer prints, a 19th century technique considered
the aristocrat of printmaking. Bentley's permanent pigment prints stand
at the pinnacle of photographic printmaking.
